Adding a Fence

Realtime Landscaping Architect has a variety of fence styles to choose from. Adding fences is easy and can add a great deal of realism to your landscape. You can also create your own fence styles.

To add a fence:

1.   Click Add Fence.

2.   Draw the fence's outline by clicking to add points. Press Backspace to remove the last point. Press Esc to cancel.

3.   Right-click at the last point when finished.

Creating Custom Fence Styles

You can create your own custom fence styles and use them in your current and future landscaping projects.

To create a custom fence style:

1.   Click an existing fence to select it.

2.   Click the Advanced button to expose the advanced editing properties.

3.   Adjust the fence properties as needed to achieve the desired fence style.

4.   Click Save Style.

5.   Type a name for your fence style and click OK.

To use a custom fence style:

1.   Click an existing fence to select it.

2.   Click the picture of the fence style.

3.   Click the desired style and click OK.

Note: When you select a new style, the default material for that style will also be set. However, you can change the material if desired.

Tips:

•      You can also add fences as stand-alone sections using the Accessory object.

•      Be sure grid-snap is enabled, or it will be difficult to build your fence using exact dimensions. See Snap Settings for more information.

•      You can also add gates to your fences. See Adding a Fence Gate for more information.
