Adding a Fountain

Realtime Landscaping Architect comes with a large variety
of pre-built fountains that you can add to your landscape designs. Some
fountains are designed for use on the ground, while others are intended for use
in ponds. During a realtime walkthrough, your fountains will come to life with
realistic water and sound effects.
To add a fountain:
1. Click Add
Fountain.
2. Select the desired
fountain by clicking the picture in the property window.
3. Click to add the
fountain.
A Tulip fountain is used in the water feature shown
below.

Pillar Fountains
Does your client want a water feature but space is limited?
A pillar fountain may be the answer. They consist of a rock pillar (often made
out of plastic or fiberglass), liner, filter, and pump. The water flows down the
side of the fountain and a pump re-circulates the water back through a hole in
the top. Some can even be used indoors!
Realtime Landscaping Architect provides several pillar
fountains to choose from. You can use the Region, Rock
Border, Edging, and other objects to complete
your design. The following is an example fountain with the Region and Edging
objects added to the base.

Tips:
•
Fountains are similar to waterfalls, except water from a waterfall always
flows in a single direction, while water from a fountain always flows straight
down. See Adding a Waterfall for more
information.
• To
add landscaping rocks around your fountain, see Adding
a Rock.
• You
can scale and rotate fountains for more variety. See Scaling Objects and Rotating Objects for more
information.
• To
add plants around your fountains, see Adding a
Plant.
• See
Adding a Pond for information on how to add a
pond, and Adding a Stream for information on how
to add a stream.
• You
can customize the materials in the fountain. See Editing Materials for details.
