Note: Your logo will not
appear when printing the plan view (since it should already be in the title
block). It will also not print when printing a saved screen shot using the
Print Screen Shot command.
Creating or Importing your Logo
First, you need to create or import a symbol of your
company logo. You can create a symbol from scratch using plan detail objects, or
import a picture using the Picture Import
Wizard. You can also combine the two methods. For example, you could import
a picture of your logo and enhanced it using the plan detail objects.
To create your company logo using plan detail
objects:
1. Click File >
New to start a new landscape design.
2. Create the logo
using objects in the Plan Detail tab: lines, shapes, text, and even other
symbols can be used. You can make the logo any size.
3. Select all of the
objects in your logo.
4. Click Tools >
Symbol Creation Wizard. Follow the steps for creating a symbol.
5. Save the landscape
in case you decide to change your logo in the future.
To import a picture of your company logo:
1. Click Settings
> Picture Import Wizard.
2. Set the picture type
to Symbol.
3. Finish the wizard to
import your picture.
The following screen shot was taking during a realtime
walkthrough. The logo was created in Photoshop and imported as a picture.

Tips:
• Once
you have converted your logo to a symbol, you can easily add it to your title
block in the plan view. See Adding a Symbol for
details.
•
Picture-based logos can be in BMP, TGA, JPG, or PNG format. For best
results, use Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro to create a 32-bit TGA file with an
alpha channel. If the alpha channel has a soft edge, then your logo will blend
in more smoothly with the background.
•
Company logo settings are saved with the landscape design, so you can use
a custom logo for each client if desired. For example, you could create a logo
consisting of both your client's name and your company logo.
