Plan View

To select the plan view, click the Plan tab at the
bottom of the view. The plan view gives you an overhead (2D) view of your
landscape. It's usually the best view for adding and editing objects. The plan
view is also used to add notes, dimension lines, title blocks, and other detail.
Most editing tasks can be performed in either plan or perspective view, so feel
free to use the one that makes the most sense for what you want to do.
The plan view is also used for adding notes, plant labels,
and other detail to your landscape designs. See Adding Plan Detail for more information.
Plan Shadows
The plan view can optionally display drop shadows. This
improves the appearance and helps add an element of depth. Set Plan Shadows for details:
Important: Plan shadows can substantially reduce
rendering performance on computers with slower video cards. When working with
large landscape designs, we recommend that you only the shadows on for printing.
