Adding 3D Text

You can add 3D text to your landscape design using the 3D Text object. This is useful for adding signs and other information that you want to appear in plan, perspective, and realtime walkthrough views.

Note: For text that only appears in the plan view, use the Text object.

To add 3D text:

1.   Select Add 3D Text.

2.   Click where you want to add the text.

3.   Enter the desired text and click OK.

4.   Set the text font, color, and other properties as desired. See 3D Text Properties for details.

The following example uses 3D Text to display the client's name during a realtime walkthrough.

Tips:

•      You can show and hide 3D text by selecting View > Show/hide objects and selecting the 3D Text option. See Showing & Hiding Objects for more information. 

•      You can scale and rotate text as desired. See 3D Text Properties for more information.
