Adding a Hedge

The Hedge object is a fast way to add realistic hedges to
your landscape design. You just draw a line indicating where the hedge should
go, and Realtime Landscaping Architect does the rest.
To add a hedge:
1. Click Add
Hedge.
2. Draw a line by
clicking to add points. Press Backspace to remove the last point. Press
Esc to cancel.
3. Right-click at the
last point when done.
The following example uses two hedges to line the
walkway:

Customizing the Plan View
Hedges can have a unique appearance in the plan view. This
is useful, for example, when you want the plan view to have a hand-drawn look.
To do this, check the Custom appearance in each view option. Two tabs
will appear: Plan and Perspective. These allow you to customize how the hedge
appears in each view. Uncheck the option if you want the hedge to use the same
material in both views. You can change this option at any time.
Tips:
•
Adding a hedge is easiest in the plan view
• If
you are adding a hedge to a driveway, patio, or other geometric shape, make sure
grid-snap is enabled, or it will be difficult to add your hedge using exact
dimensions. See Snap Settings for more
information.
• For
more control over the shape of your hedge, you can easily add more points. See
Inserting & Deleting Points for
more information.
