The following is a list of the various property types,
along with descriptions of how they are used.

Description |
|
Material, model, or style |

|
Material, model, or style used to determine the
appearance of an object. To change the material, model, or style, click
the image and select the desired one from the dialog that will appear.
Some materials have advanced options that you can
edit by clicking the button to the right of the material. A menu will
popup with your choices. |
|
Numeric |

|
This property allows for a numeric value to be
entered, either by dragging the blue ball or typing in a value manually.
To manually enter a value, double-click the number
entry box and then type the desired value.
For distance measurements, you can enter
feet/inches or meters and the program will do the appropriate conversion.
For example, any of the following could be used to enter 1'-6" (18
inches):
1'-6"
1.5'
1.5
18"
When using English units, the default is feet.
When using metric, the default is meters. For example, entering 1.5 is the
same as entering 1.5m when using metric.
For fine adjustments, you can use the plus and
minus buttons that appear when you move the cursor over the slider.
The range of the slider is sometimes more limited
than the range allowed by the object, so you can often type in a value
that is larger or smaller than the range allowed by the slider. For
example, the elevation slider for plants has a minimum value of 0, but you
can directly enter a negative number to give them a negative
elevation.
When a numeric entry has the keyboard focus, press
Tab to move the cursor to the next numeric property. |
