Adding a Path

The Path object is used for walkways, landscape paths,
sidewalks, and more. Paths can be straight or curved, and will automatically
conform to uneven terrain. Paths can be used in conjunction with Region objects,
allowing you to mix and match as desired.
To add a path:
1. Click Add
Path.
2. Change the Width
property to the desired width.
3. Draw the path's
centerline by clicking to add points. Press Backspace to remove the last
point. Press Esc to cancel.
4. Right-click at the
last point when finished.
Once you add the
path, you have full control over its shape. You can add points, delete points,
and modify the shape as needed for your landscape design.
The Path object was
used for the path that surrounds the deck in the following example:

Controlling the Render Order
When working with overlapping paths and regions that use
different materials, you can control which ones are drawn first. See Adding a Region for details.
Tips:
• Paths
are very similar to regions. See Adding a Region
for more information.
•
Adding a path is easiest in the top-down
view
• If
you are building driveways, patios, or other geometric shapes, make sure
grid-snap is enabled, or it may be difficult to draw your path using exact
dimensions. See Snap Settings for more
information.
