Snap Settings

Grid and angle snapping are invaluable tools for aligning objects. For example, grid snap makes it easy to add houses, fences, and decks with perfectly straight lines and square corners.

Angle snap enabled
Check this option to enable angle snapping. When enabled, objects will snap to angles that are even multiples of the specified snap angle.

Snap angle
Enter the desired snap angle, in degrees.

Show grid
Check this option to show the grid.

Grid snap enabled
Check this option to enable grid snapping. When enabled, objects and points will snap to the grid line intersections.

Grid size
Enter the desired grid size in meters or feet.

Major line every
Enter the frequency at which a darker grid line will be rendered. For example, if the grid size is set to 1' and the Major line every setting is set to 10, then a darker grid line will be rendered every 10'.

Grid color
Click to change the color of the grid.

Tips:

•      You can toggle grid snap on/off by pressing Ctrl-G or by clicking

•      You can toggle the grid on/off by press Ctrl-I or clicking

•      You can toggle angle snap on/off by pressing Ctrl-A.

•      Snapping works with both objects and points.
