Adding Deck Stairs

Realtime Landscaping Pro supports straight and curved decking and deck stairs. Stairs are easily placed and can wrap around multiple edges of the deck.

To add stairs to an existing deck:

1.   Click Add Deck Stairs.

2.   Position cursor over the edge where you want to add the stairs. A dark brown line will appear showing you where the stairs will be placed.

3.   Click to add the stairs.

To move existing stairs:

1.   Click the stairs to select them.

2.   Drag to the desired position. You can move the stairs to a different edge of the same deck (but not to a different deck).

Tips:

•      Normally when you click to add the stairs, the stairs will be added and automatically selected for editing. If you want to add a second set of stairs, hold Ctrl while clicking.

•      If grid snap is enabled, it might be difficult to place the stairs exactly where you want them. Press Ctrl+G to disable grid snap. See Snap Settings for more information.

•      Stairs can only be added to existing decks, not any other objects.

•      Stairs will automatically use the board material used by the deck. Likewise, the railing will automatically match the railing used by the deck.
