Q. When I attempt to import a photo, the photo comes out as a black box or just a blank screen. What is causing this?

A. This is nearly always caused by outdated video drivers. Updating the video drivers is a free and simple process that can usually be done through the computer manufacturer. For assistance in finding the right video drivers, e-mail support@ideaspectrum.com with information about your computer (including brand, model number, operating system, and video card type) and your request to locate drivers.

Q. When I activate the walkthrough, my computer freezes or I experience other problems. What is causing this?

A. This is nearly always caused by outdated video drivers. See the previous FAQ if you would like us to help you locate the latest video drivers for your computer.

Q. Updating the video drivers did not help with my problem. What should I do next?

A. In the rare cases that updating the video drivers does not solve the issues, “software mode” may be activated to resolve the problems. To activate software mode, deselect “hardware acceleration” and restart the program. The “hardware acceleration” option can be found in “program settings” under the “settings” menu.
