Model Creation Wizard
The Model Creation Wizard is used to create new models
using existing objects. For example, a plant could be placed on a trellis, and
then the Model Creation Wizard could be used to permanently add the
plant/trellis combination to Realtime Landscaping Architect. Once an object is
created using the Model Creation Wizard, it can be added to any of your
To create a new model:
Select each of the objects you wish to include in the new model. For help, see
Click Tools and Model Creation Wizard.
Click the Next button.
Select the type of model you would like to create and then click the Next
button. Select Accessory for general purpose models, such as arbors,
mailboxes, and tables.
Click the Set File Name button and type a name for your new model.
Click the Next button and then click the Finish button to complete
Click on your landscape design to add the new model.
Your new model can be added to any of your landscape
designs from within the appropriate object library. For example, if a container
garden has been imported as an accessory, then it can be found within the
Custom category of the Accessory library.
A variety of different types of models can be created using
the Model Creation Wizard, several of which are shown below.
To create a container garden:
Add a planter using the Accessory
Add flowers to the planter using the Plant
Select each of the flowers and the planter; your design should look similar to
the image below. For details on selecting objects in your landscape design, see

to create, select Accessory.

Creating a Custom Plant
The following guide explains how to create a fall version
of the Red Maple 3D tree.
To create a new 3D plant:
Use the Plant object to add a Red Maple to your
landscape design. Ensure that you are adding a 3D model and not a 2D

right of the screen and then click the Edit Materials button.
Click Material 3, which in this case is the material for the plant

Maple - Fall" for the common name for the new plant.
Before the wizard completes, you will be prompted to enter additional plant
information, including botanical name, mature age, mature height, and planting
zones. This information is optional, but it is recommended to accurately enter
the Mature age and Mature height as they affect how the plant is
sized when it is added to your landscape design.

Creating a Custom Waterfall
The following guide explains how to modify an existing
waterfall, and then save the modified waterfall as a custom model.
To create a waterfall:
Add a waterfall to your landscape design using the Waterfall object.
Add rocks in and around the waterfall using the Rock
object and add plants to the waterfall using the Plant object. In the example below, Tulips have been
added to the pond basin.
Select the waterfall, each rock, and each plant; your design should look similar
to the image below. For details on selecting objects in your landscape design,
