Pool Water Properties

The properties used to modify a Pool Water object are located to the right of the screen when your pool water is selected. These properties can either be adjusted right before adding the pool water to your landscape or after is has been added. Below is a description of each available property in the order that they appear in the software.

Options

Description

Elevation

The Elevation property determines the distance of the pool water from the ground. To change the elevation, move the Elevation slider or type a value in the text field.

Water tint

The Water tint property determines the color of the water. To adjust the water tint, click the small color swatch that displays the current color. To disable water tinting, set the color to white. To darken the water without tinting, set the color to the desired shade of gray.

Water effect

The Water effect property determines how the water will appear during a Realtime Walkthrough. Water can be calm, have small ripples, or even include foam (useful for creating spas and hot tubs).

Water ripples will also occur automatically when water flows into the pool from another source such as a waterfall.

Add steam

Check this option to add steam rising from the water during a Realtime Walkthrough.

Edit points

Click the Edit points button to enable or disable point editing mode, which will allow you to modify the pool water’s shape. See Editing Points for details.
