Road Accessory Properties

The properties used to modify a road accessory are located to the right of the screen when your accessory is selected. Only some of these properties can be adjusted right before adding the accessory to your landscape, but all of the properties can be adjusted after it has been added. Below is a description of each available property in the order that they appear in the software.

Options

Description

Model

The Model property determines the type of road accessory. To change the accessory model, click the picture that shows the current road accessory.

Material options

The appearance of the road accessory can be modified by clicking the small button that appears to the right of the accessory image.

Elevation

The Elevation property determines the distance of the road accessory from the ground. To change the elevation, move the Elevation slider or type a value in the text field.

 

Advanced

Description

Width

The Width property determines the size of the road accessory from left to right. To adjust the accessory width, move the Width slider or type a value in the text field.

Depth

The Depth property determines the length of the road accessory from front to back. To adjust the accessory length, move the Depth slider or type a value in the text field.

Height

The Height property determines how tall the road accessory is. To adjust the accessory height, move the Height slider or type a value in the text field.

Rotate about X

The Rotate about X property determines the angle of the road accessory about its X axis. If your view is facing north, this will rotate the accessory forward or backward. To rotate the road accessory, move the Rotate about X slider or type a value in the text field.

Rotate about Y

The Rotate about Y property determines the angle of the road accessory about its Y axis. If your view is facing north, this will rotate the accessory left or right as if it was sitting upon a pottery wheel. To rotate the road accessory, move the Rotate about Y slider or type a value in the text field.

Rotate about Z

The Rotate about Z property determines the angle of the road accessory about its Z axis. If your view is facing north, this will rotate the accessory left or right as if it was sitting upon the face of a clock. To rotate the road accessory, move the Rotate about Z slider or type a value in the text field.

Align to terrain

The Align to terrain property determines if the road accessory is automatically tilted when it is placed on uneven terrain. If this option is disabled, the accessory will remain upright by default. To change the automatic terrain alignment, click the Align to terrain checkbox.

Scale evenly

The Scale evenly property determines if the road accessory is stretched or not when you adjust the width, depth, or height. If you wish to simply enlarge the accessory, then keep the Scale evenly option checked. If you wish to stretch the road accessory in any direction, then uncheck the Scale evenly option.

Enable enhanced surface detail

The Enable enhanced surface detail property determines whether or not the accessory will have increased detail when viewed up close.
