Cut, Copy, & Paste

Realtime Landscaping Plus includes cut, copy, and paste tools that make it easy to duplicate single objects or entire portions of your landscape design. Objects can also be cut or copied in one landscape and pasted into another. When objects are cut or copied, they are added to the “clipboard”, which is a hidden part of Windows that stores cut and copied items until you are ready to paste them.

To copy objects to the clipboard and delete them from the landscape:

1.   Click the object you wish to cut to select it. To select more than one object, hold the Shift key while clicking on additional objects.

2.   Click Edit and Cut, or press Ctrl + X on your keyboard.

To copy objects to the clipboard:

1.   Click the object you wish to copy to select it. To select more than one object, hold the Shift key while clicking on additional objects.

2.   Click Edit and Copy, or press Ctrl + C on your keyboard.

To paste objects from the clipboard:

1.   Click Edit and Paste to add your previously cut or copied objects to your landscape design. Alternately, press Ctrl + V on your keyboard. The pasted objects will be moved slightly away from the originals to make them easier to select, and the Move tool will be automatically activated.

To paste objects from the clipboard without offsetting:

1.   To paste objects directly on top of the originals, click Edit and Paste in Place, or press Ctrl + Shift + V on your keyboard. The pasted objects will be automatically selected.
