Adding a Pool Seat
The Pool Seat object is used to create benches, platforms,
and tanning ledges. Pool seats can be placed underwater at any depth required,
or can rise slightly above the water line to provide a dry surface.
To add a pool seat:
Click the Add Pool Seat button that is found near the top of the screen
under the Swimming Pool tab.
Draw the outline of the pool seat by clicking the left mouse button to add
points. Press the Backspace key to remove the last point added, and press
the Esc key to cancel. If you would like to input the distance and angle
manually, place at least one point and then press the Enter key.
To finish drawing the pool seat, place the last point on top of the first point.
Alternately, right-click to place the last point.
Pool seats are drawn by simply creating the outline of the
seat and assigning it a depth. Pool seats are designed to only function inside
swimming pools; they cannot be used as standalone objects. Pool seats
automatically assume the material of the swimming pool they are added to.
As shown in the picture below, it is not a problem for part
of the pool seat’s outline to extend beyond the pool’s perimeter. Only the
portion of the pool seat that is within a swimming pool will be shown.
height of the pool seat is determined by its Depth property. A pool
seat’s depth determines the distance from the top of the seat to the top of the
swimming pool or spa.
